DevOps / SRE Engineer

Anatoly Anikeev

Seven years of building and running Linux infrastructure — from the helpdesk to leading a team of five engineers on an information security platform. I make deployments boring: automated, documented and safe to repeat.

Experience

I started at the very bottom — office helpdesk, then hosting technical support — and grew into an engineer who owns production infrastructure. Several years in outsourcing gave me dozens of client projects of every size: audits, migrations, CI/CD pipelines, observability, incident response.

Today I develop an information security platform and lead a team of five engineers. My approach hasn’t changed since the support desk: find out why it broke, then fix it so it stays fixed. Certified in Yandex Cloud.

Working principle: keep it simple. Complexity can always be added later — it is far harder to remove. If a task is solved by one server and a script, I will say so rather than sell a cluster.

Selected work

Migration

Monolith to Kubernetes for an international company

A monolithic application the business could not afford to stop. Containerised the app, prepared Helm charts and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, then migrated production in stages with gradual traffic switching.

migrated with no service interruption
Product

Air-gapped Kubernetes distribution

For an information security platform: a distribution that installs Kubernetes automatically on the customer’s premises, including isolated environments with no internet access. Led the project as tech lead of five engineers; CI/CD on Azure DevOps.

Observability

Monitoring for infrastructure and billing

Built monitoring for dozens of client infrastructures and an ISP payment service: Prometheus / VictoriaMetrics, Grafana dashboards, alerting on everything from payment queues to expiring certificates.

issues caught before customers report them

Client names are under NDA. Happy to walk through the architecture, trade-offs and similar problems in a call.
